Jeff Chilton performs with an event based jazz combo ranging from duo to quartet that features Chilton on trombone and vocals. The combo is filled out by a rotating cast of professional local musicians and performs swing, trad, and straight ahead jazz from the song books of Louis Armstrong, Chet Baker, and Nat King Cole. The ensemble has performed at regional vineyards, restaurants, hotels weddings, and private parties.

 

Chilton studied Jazz and Music Education at Ithaca College in upstate NY. He has performed with Branford Marsalis, Terell Stafford, Le Beouf Brothers, Mike Titlebaum and Greg Evans. After graduating Chilton worked for two years aboard Royal Caribbean Cruise Ships performing with notables such as The Platters, The Las Vegas Tenors, and The Diamonds before moving to Portland in 2016. Currently, he works as a full time musician managing an original music ensemble, maintaining a private trombone studio, and performing as a sideman in numerous projects throughout the Portland Metro.
